About Kyle Culkin
Kyle Culkin is an American songwriter, guitarist, and roots music recording artist. He grew up in California listening to an eclectic mix of Country, Rock, Blues, Soul, and everything in between. In his early twenties, Culkin hit the road to cut his teeth with several bands in which he was the youngest member, earning him the nickname "The Kid".
Bitten by the music bug, Culkin began touring with his own band and was given the honor of opening for one of his musical hero's, the great B.B. King on his 80th birthday tour. This is when B.B. King proclaimed, "This kid can play"! That tour led Culkin to join the The Jeff Jensen Band and he hit the road with the nationally touring blues band.
Now with years of experience under his belt, he has spent more than two decades playing American roots music to learn the craft of projecting a truthful authenticity from hard learned lessons of life on the road.
His critically acclaimed albums, "My Americana" and "Pork Chops & Blues" feature a mix of country, rock, blues, and soul that put a new twist on an instantly familiar sound that is quintessential modern Americana. For his 3rd studio album, Culkin has enlisted legendary musicians as featured artists and his A-list band for an incredibly exciting album that you wont want to miss!
The new album "Shotgun Ridge" releases on Tonebucker Records, 2022.
